Clean Energy Fund of Texas partners with local businesses, contractors, and suppliers to drive green infrastructure projects and equitable clean energy solutions. These programs are designed to stimulate local economic development while expanding access to sustainable services.
Sustainable Green Growth Fund Overview
The Growth Fund provides financing for small and mid-sized clean energy projects, generally up to a maximum size of 10 megawatts (MW), subject to program guidelines and underwriting.
CEFTX targets deploying at least 75% of funds in Low-Income and Disadvantaged Communities (LIDACs), consistent with program objectives.

The Sustainable Green Growth Fund (Growth Fund) is a commercial & industrial C&I fund designed to accelerate clean energy adoption and sustainability-focused development across the state of Texas. The Growth Fund supports projects that reduce the cost of energy, reduce carbon emissions that contribute to extreme weather events, provide communities with the resiliency to withstand these events and catalyze economic investment—especially in underserved communities.

To qualify for Growth Fund financing, projects must meet the following environmental, financial, and eligibility benchmarks:
- Reduces or avoids greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions
- Reduces or avoids other air pollutants
- Mobilizes private capital Uses only commercial technologies (deployed ≥3 times over 5+ years in the U.S.)
- Addresses financing gaps not typically served by conventional capital sources
- Delivers additional community benefits
