Five Years of Practical Impact
Clean Energy Fund of Texas started with a simple belief: every Texas community deserves access to affordable, reliable, and resilient energy solutions.
Clean Energy Fund of Texas has supported more than $2.78 million in total residential lending, 96 residential loans, 49 contractor businesses, projects across 33 Texas counties, 39 loans to low- and moderate-income households, 20 place-based loans in rural and disadvantaged communities, and more than 5,271 labor hours generated across funded projects.
These numbers tell part of the story.
Behind them are families lowering costs, contractors gaining work, communities accessing capital, and projects that help make homes and neighborhoods more resilient.
Now, Clean Energy Fund of Texas is preparing to scale that impact.
Building the Next Five Years
The next five years are about growth, capitalization, and deeper partnerships.
Clean Energy Fund of Texas is focused on expanding the capital needed to fund projects across Texas, including:
Growing Rising Sun Fund
Rising Sun Fund supports residential solar and solar-plus-battery projects that help households lower energy costs and improve resilience. The fund is already capitalized at $3 million, and continued investment will help expand access to affordable residential clean energy financing.
Expanding Weatherization and Home Resilience Financing
Energy affordability and housing affordability are connected. Clean Energy Fund of Texas is working to expand financing for practical home improvements such as weatherization, HVAC, roofing, insulation, windows, heat pumps, and other upgrades that help families reduce energy burden and improve comfort, safety, and resilience.
Funding Commercial and Community Projects
Clean Energy Fund of Texas is building partnerships to support commercial, nonprofit, community infrastructure, energy efficiency, water, and resilience projects. These investments can help organizations lower operating costs, improve infrastructure, and create measurable community benefits.
Strengthening Contractor and Community Ecosystems
Through Trusted Texas Contractor Network, Clean Energy Fund of Texas is helping connect financing opportunities with contractors who can deliver projects in communities across Texas. This contractor ecosystem is an important part of turning capital into completed projects, local work, and community impact.
